My office closed at 2 pm on Thursday for the Christmas weekend. I went home and got K ready to go and spend the night with her friend E. I had to wait until my daughter got home with one of our cars, since my son grabbed the van as soon as I walk in. One of my favorite things to do this time of year is to sit out back with a fire in our fire pit, so I got one going while waiting for someone to come home with a car. Finally, some showed up and I got her to E's house around 7 pm.
When I got home, I started to brown some meat for tacos and my husband came in and said he tripped over the metal firewood holder and hurt his leg. He went into the bathroom to check it out and called me to come to the bathroom. He told me it looked pretty bad and thought it needed stitches. Okay, my brain kicks in, there is an urgent care center about 2 miles from the house and they have online check in. I find it, fill out all the forms, hit submit and then read where it has to be done 2 hour before they close and they close at 8 pm. Check the watch - we have 10 minutes to get down there - let's go. We got there in 5 minutes and shortly after we walked in they lock the doors and don't let anyone else in. We were only there for about an hour, so the doctor (she was very nice and young). She told us, yes he did need to come in and put 6 stitches in his shin. What a way to start a long weekend.
I'm guessing that you meant his "shin." Either way - OW!
ReplyDeleteHave you ever considered valet parking at your house? Ha-ha!
Thanks for catching that typo. Yes, he needed stitches in his shin not chin.
